Job summary

Tennr is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer in New York to architect and implement features end-to-end across backend services and infrastructure. You will design data schemas, build resilient services, and ensure integration with third-party systems.

You will lead initiatives in high-volume workflow automation and build scalable data processing and machine learning infrastructure, driving performance improvements and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven track record building scalable web applications with high-volume workflow automation.
• Experience integrating machine learning models into production and optimizing data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and clean coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement features that drive direct customer value end-to-end across our backend services and infrastructure.
• Lead initiatives in high-volume workflow automation with scalable data processing and ML infrastructure.
• Design and maintain complex workflows leveraging machine learning to drive automation.
• Drive performance optimization for scalability and reliability across all layers of the stack.
• Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to respond to feedback from customers and prospects.
• Embrace a founder’s mindset, proactively driving projects from conception to completion.
