Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Software Engineer (Backend Developer) to advance intelligence analysis products and capabilities. The role emphasizes automation, rapid prototyping, and modern stacks within an Agile environment across cloud, hybrid, and data centers.

The Backend SME provides technical and management leadership for major initiatives, directing strategy, execution, and outcomes while engaging senior clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of backend software development experience with leadership.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/SAFe methodologies.
• Design and delivery of scalable, distributed backend systems.
• Experience leading large-scale technical efforts and engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Experience with GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define backend architecture strategies and modernization roadmaps.
• Provide technical leadership on geospatial platform development and integration.
• Oversee backend systems across cloud, hybrid, and data centers.
• Enforce DevSecOps standards, CI/CD, and governance.
• Interface with senior client leadership and drive technical consensus.
• Ensure alignment with client mission objectives.
• Act as a thought leader in backend, cloud, and geospatial communities.
