Lendistry is seeking a Sr Staff Engineer, Backend to architect and lead the distributed systems powering our lending platform. You will drive multi-tenant microservices, own backend architecture, and mentor a team of engineers across product, QA, credit, and data.

You will translate complex lending rules into secure, auditable backend solutions, define API design and platform primitives, and champion observability, security, and AI-assisted development practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building complex backend and distributed systems.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS or regulated industries.
• Strong RESTful API design and service decomposition.
• Proven leadership and mentorship experience.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect backend systems powering Lendistry's platform.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, and pair programming.
• Collaborate with product, data, and credit teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure security, observability, and regulatory compliance.
• Guide AI-assisted development practices.
