Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the AD Core Team to design, build, and enhance mission-critical backend services and APIs powering ARINCDirect's platform. You will collaborate with Product, Architecture, Cloud, and Mobile teams to deliver resilient, scalable services used in daily flight operations.

You will write code in Python, JavaScript, and Angular, work with PostgreSQL, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and incident response.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with extensive relevant experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong experience building reliable, scalable backend systems.
• Full-stack proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and Angular.
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL and API design.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services across the ARINCDirect platform.
• Develop new features, APIs, and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions.
• Write clean, well-tested code across back-end and front-end.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring.
• Participate in incident response and on-call rotations.
• Drive continuous improvement and system performance.
