Job summary

Pellucid Network is seeking a Backend Developer to design and maintain server-side applications, with remote options for the right candidate. You’ll architect the backend on Supabase, implement complex SQL, and integrate with AWS services for security and scalability.

This is a ground-floor engineering hire with significant impact on architecture and product direction. Preferred candidates will be in the Raleigh-Durham area or DC/Remote, with a focus on building robust, API-driven platforms for

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in backend or cloud engineering building API-driven platforms.
• Expert-level knowledge of Supabase and PostgreSQL, including advanced SQL and RLS.
• Expert-level AWS experience with IAM, STS, and CloudFormation.
• Serverless development with Supabase Edge Functions or similar (Deno/TypeScript).
• Strong API integration experience, OAuth 2.0, and reliable webhooks.
• Security-first mindset for multi-tenant SaaS environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect backend services and database schemas to support SaaS workflows.
• Develop and maintain backend on Supabase, including core business logic.
• Integrate third-party APIs and manage OAuth flows and webhooks.
• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure and event systems (EventBridge, Lambda).
• Ensure security standards, secrets management, and auditing across the platform.
• Optimize queries and serverless performance for scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
