Job summary

Mobi.AI in the United States, focused on transforming travel experiences with AI, seeks a Senior Backend / AI Applications Engineer. You will design and build reliable backend services and AI-driven applications, taking end-to-end ownership from architecture to deployment.

You will work with product and design teams to deliver API integrations, AWS infrastructure, and agent workflows for travel AI products, using AI coding assistants responsibly and ensuring high performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering or related field.
• Strong Python and production backend ownership.
• Experience with automated tests (pytest) and API testing.
• Proficient with AWS compute/storage (Lambda, DynamoDB).
• Ability to evaluate and guide AI tools in code.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain MCP services and agent apps.
• Build Python APIs and AWS infrastructure with robust contracts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features.
• Use AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery while ensuring quality.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
