Job summary

Indeed is seeking a Software Engineer VI to act as a Technical Fellow for the Interop space, owning architectural direction across integration domains and partnering with senior staff to scale B2B integrations. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with extensive experience.
Experience designing service-oriented architectures, distributed systems, APIs, and data platforms (SQL and NoSQL).
Experience applying AI/ML capabilities to accelerate architecture, development velocity, and integration quality at scale.
Demonstrated ownership as a principal technical and product contributor.
Excellent written and verbal communication across engineering, product, and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

Own architectural assessment and simplification efforts across multiple teams or domains.
Partner with senior engineers, technical leaders, and business partners to guide architectural decisions and system evolution.
Establish and promote effective mechanisms for documenting and communicating architectural decisions and trade-offs.
Translate architectural needs and user feedback into improvements for shared platforms, tools, or processes.
Contribute code and design improvements to internal systems as appropriate, setting a high bar for quality and maintainability.
Influence architectural standards and best practices across the engineering organization through collaboration and example.
