Job summary

Henderson Drake Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior SysOps Engineer to join its Cloud Operations function in the United States. You will design and deploy Azure environments from the ground up, automate infrastructure with Terraform, and build automated deployment and validation processes using PowerShell.

You will support cloud implementations, migrations and upgrades, improve efficiency through automation, and mentor junior engineers within a mature enterprise technology setting.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure engineering or a similar environment.
• Proven experience architecting and building Azure environments from scratch.
• Strong infrastructure as code experience, particularly Terraform.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Experience creating and managing cloud deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
• Confidence mentoring less experienced engineers and handling technical challenges within a team.
• Ability to work primarily East Coast business hours.

We are supporting a leading enterprise software company that is looking to hire experienced Senior SysOps Engineers to join its Cloud Operations function.

This is a senior infrastructure role focused on building, automating and maintaining scalable Azure environments. The position is suited to someone who has genuinely architected and deployed Azure environments from scratch, rather than only supporting existing infrastructure.

You’ll work across cloud operations, infrastructure automation, environment deployment and platform reliability, while also providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
