Job summary

HKA's Global IT team is seeking a Senior Infrastructure and Security Engineer to strengthen our enterprise security and cloud infrastructure. Based in the USA, you will join an international team and report to the Infrastructure Services Manager in the UK.

You will work with Microsoft technologies such as Azure, Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel, Purview, and Intune, drive Zero Trust adoption, and implement cybersecurity best practices to protect global systems and data.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required due to client systems access.
• 7+ years infrastructure engineering with a Microsoft focus.
• 5+ years hands-on cybersecurity in Microsoft cloud/security.
• Strong communication and high emotional intelligence for diverse audiences.
• Expertise in Azure services: infrastructure, networking, storage, identity.
• Experience implementing and supporting Zero Trust architectures.
• Deep knowledge of IAM, authentication, authorization, and privileged access.
• Experience managing enterprise cloud security programs.
• Knowledge of security principles including endpoint security and encryption.
• Experience with PowerShell and/or Azure CLI scripting.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident response skills.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) and related certs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Azure environments for high availability and cost efficiency.
• Administer Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview, and Intune.
• Implement Zero Trust security and least-privilege access.
• Lead security incident response and risk assessments.
• Support governance with ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA, and related frameworks.
• Collaborate with Security Operations to reduce organizational risk.
