Job summary

HKA is seeking a Senior Infrastructure and Security Engineer to fortify our enterprise cloud infrastructure and security postures. Based in the USA, you will join an international team and influence security strategy across regions, leveraging Azure, Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel, Purview, and Intune.

This hybrid role targets Phoenix, AZ or Las Vegas, NV, reporting to the Infrastructure Services Manager in the UK. You will drive Zero Trust adoption and security best practices globally.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required due to access for client systems and GCC High environments.
• 7+ years of infrastructure engineering experience with a strong Microsoft focus.
• 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in Microsoft cloud and security environments.
• Strong communication with high emotional intelligence across audiences.
• Experience with Azure services: infrastructure, networking, storage, identity management.
• Experience implementing and supporting Zero Trust security architectures.
• Deep understanding of IAM, authentication, authorization, and privileged access controls.
• Experience managing enterprise cloud security programs and initiatives.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security principles including endpoint security, encryption, etc.
• Experience with automation using PowerShell and/or Azure CLI.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and incident response skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Azure environments for high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain Azure infrastructure services including VMs, networking, storage, and identity management.
• Monitor system performance using Azure Monitor and related tools; support incident response and continuous improvement.
• Administer Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview, and Intune; enforce IAM controls and Zero Trust.
• Lead security reviews of new technologies and architectural designs; conduct threat modeling and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with Security Operations to monitor, investigate, and respond to incidents.
