Qualifications

• 7 to 10+ years of PostgreSQL experience in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server.
• Strong database development background and advanced performance-tuning expertise.

Responsibilities

• Bridge application development and database performance.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, slow queries, and locking issues.
• Work with the development team to optimize schemas, indexing, and queries.
• Perform advanced PostgreSQL database tuning.
• Recommend best practices for Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server.
• Discuss and recommend strategies for partitioning, data archiving, and retention.
• Collaborate with application development teams to optimize data-access patterns.
• Work with GitLab CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
• Review and recommend robust monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
• Oversee security, performance, and data-integrity best practices.
