Job summary

WoodmenLife is seeking a Cloud Engineer III to design, build, and evolve our Azure cloud platform in a remote-first environment. You will own platform domains, drive engineering patterns, and enable secure, scalable cloud solutions across the enterprise.

You will partner with Cloud Architects and Enterprise Architecture to operationalize standards, advance the Landing Zone, and mentor teams while focusing on governance, cost, and reliability. Friday afternoons off supports work‑life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred and minimum 10+ years in IT infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Deep expertise in IaC and automation using Bicep, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and Git‑based workflows.
• Strong Windows/Linux, identity, and hybrid networking backgrounds.
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of Azure platform solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
• Own and evolve Azure platform domains (identity, networking, governance, DevOps pipelines).
• Develop IaC templates and automation to support scalable, self‑service platform capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to Cloud CoE knowledge sharing.
• Ensure governance, security, and cost controls across cloud initiatives.
