Job summary

Invesco is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to architect and evolve our Azure cloud platform, enabling AI-powered engineering across the organization. You will partner with security and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions while advancing automation and governance.

The role emphasizes platform engineering, reference architectures, and enterprise-grade patterns to accelerate delivery and adoption of Generative AI technologies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of infrastructure, platform, or cloud engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Azure engineering and architecture in enterprise environments.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale cloud platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to lead complex technical initiatives across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve Azure cloud platform capabilities, landing zones, and shared services.
• Define reference architectures, engineering standards, and reusable patterns for secure cloud adoption.
• Lead decisions on cloud architecture, resiliency, security, observability, and operational excellence.
• Drive IaC, automation, and self-service with modern cloud engineering practices.
• Guide AI-enabled platform evolution and governance across environments.
