Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate Azure Lakehouse architectures using Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Synapse, and Data Factory. You will develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with Spark, Delta Lake, Python, SQL, and Scala, handling large datasets and streaming workloads.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data quality measures and optimize performance and costs across enterprise data platforms. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years as a Data Engineer with Azure deliveries.
• Proven experience with Azure Databricks and Azure-native data services.
• Hands-on design, build, and operation of Azure Lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with Spark, Delta Lake, Python, SQL, and Scala for large data workloads.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Azure Lakehouse architectures using Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Synapse, and Data Factory.
• Develop and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Process large-scale structured and unstructured datasets with batch and streaming pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise Azure solutions and support deployments.
• Implement data quality, performance tuning, and cost-optimization practices.
