Job summary

Yoh Services LLC is seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize a modern lakehouse on Azure Databricks in Plano, TX. The role is hybrid, collaborating with data architects, scientists, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure data solutions.

You will develop end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines, implement Bronze/Silver/Gold patterns, and drive data quality, governance, and observability across high-volume environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of data engineering, with 3+ years in Azure Databricks / Apache Spark (PySpark).
• Strong experience with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and SQL-based warehousing patterns.
• Hands-on with ADLS Gen2, Event Hub, ADF, Key Vault, Synapse.
• Python and SQL coding; Scala knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD for Databricks using Databricks CLI, Terraform, or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on Azure Databricks.
• Develop ingestions from Event Hub, APIs, and storage into Bronze/Silver/Gold zones.
• Implement Delta Lake governance, schema evolution, and data quality checks.
• Optimize pipelines for performance and cost; tune Spark settings.
• Integrate with ADLS Gen2, ADF, Synapse, and data security controls.
• Provide technical leadership through reviews and architectural guidance.
