Job summary

Yoh is partnering with a confidential enterprise to hire a Senior Azure Data Engineer with deep expertise in Azure Databricks to design, build, and optimize a modern lakehouse data platform in Plano, TX. You’ll develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and enable analytics in a high-volume environment.

This hybrid role requires 5+ years of data engineering, strong Python/SQL, and hands-on experience with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Azure Databricks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years data engineering, including 3+ years with Azure Databricks/Spark.
• Strong Delta Lake and Unity Catalog experience.
• Hands-on with ADLS Gen2, Event Hub, ADF, Synapse.
• Strong Python and SQL; Scala a plus.
• Experience CI/CD for Databricks using CLI/Terraform/Azure DevOps.
• Databricks certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks.
• Ingest data from Event Hub, APIs, Azure SQL, Blob Storage into Bronze/Silver/Gold.
• Implement Delta Lake and Unity Catalog governance.
• Tune performance and cost via partitioning and caching.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring.
• Collaborate with architecture and security teams.
