Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Azure Kubernetes Engineer to design, operate, and optimize AKS platforms supporting TriZetto QNXT workloads in healthcare payer environments. You will work with QNXT products, DevOps, Azure infrastructure, and production support teams to ensure secure, scalable Kubernetes operations.

Responsibilities include provisioning AKS clusters, managing namespaces, implementing IaC with Terraform or Bicep, enforcing security controls, and monitoring with Azure tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating Kubernetes platforms, preferably AKS, in production.
• Strong Kubernetes operations knowledge: cluster builds, node pools, autoscaling, ingress, upgrades, troubleshooting.
• Experience with Azure infrastructure services: VNets, subnets, load balancers, identity, monitoring, secure connectivity.
• Hands-on IaC using Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Experience supporting containerized enterprise applications or mission-critical systems.
• Experience creating and managing Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
• Hands-on experience operating .NET/ASP.NET Core apps in containers.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server connectivity, performance, and high availability.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and operate secure, scalable AKS clusters for QNXT workloads across environments.
• Manage Kubernetes namespaces, node pools, ingress, workload placement, autoscaling, and service networking.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code to support repeatable Azure builds (Terraform/Bicep).
• Enforce identity, access, and security controls with Entra ID and RBAC.
• Establish monitoring with Azure Monitor, Container Insights, and Kubernetes metrics.
• Support AKS lifecycle, upgrades, release readiness, and production stability.
• Deploy and operate containerized .NET applications and ensure SQL Server connectivity.
