Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Azure Kubernetes Engineer to design, operate, and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service platforms supporting TriZetto QNXT workloads in healthcare payer environments.

Remote position within the United States. You will work with QNXT products, DevOps, Azure infrastructure, environment management, batch, and production support teams to deliver scalable, secure Kubernetes solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating Kubernetes, preferably AKS, in production.
• Strong Kubernetes ops skills: cluster builds, autoscaling, ingress, upgrades.
• Experience with Azure infra services: VNet, subnets, load balancers, identity, monitoring.
• Hands-on IaC using Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Experience with containerized enterprise apps.
• Experience creating Helm charts for deployments.
• Hands-on in .NET/ASP.NET Core in containerized environments.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server connectivity, performance & HA.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and operate secure, scalable AKS clusters for QNXT workloads.
• Manage namespaces, node pools, ingress, autoscaling, networking, and reliability.
• Implement IaC with Terraform or Bicep for repeatable Azure builds.
• Enforce identity, access, and security with Entra ID, managed identities, and RBAC.
• Establish monitoring with Azure Monitor, Container Insights, and metrics.
• Support AKS lifecycle, upgrades, troubleshooting, production stability.
• Deploy and operate containerized .NET apps and SQL Server connectivity.
