Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Azure Kubernetes Engineer to design, operate, and optimize AKS platforms supporting TriZetto QNXT workloads in healthcare payer environments. You’ll collaborate with QNXT, DevOps, and Azure teams to ensure secure, scalable clusters and reliable service delivery.

The role emphasizes Terraform/Bicep IaC, RBAC security, monitoring, and lifecycle management, with a focus on containerized .NET apps and SQL Server connectivity in production and non-production environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating Kubernetes platforms in production
• Strong Kubernetes operations knowledge
• Azure infrastructure services experience
• IaC using Terraform and/or Bicep
• Experience with containerized enterprise apps
• Helm chart management for deployments
• Containerized .NET apps and SQL Server connectivity
• PHI-regulated or security-sensitive environment experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and operate secure, scalable AKS clusters for QNXT workloads
• Manage namespaces, node pools, ingress, autoscaling, service networking, platform reliability
• Implement IaC with Terraform/Bicep for repeatable Azure builds
• Enforce identity, access, and security controls using Entra ID and Kubernetes RBAC
• Establish monitoring with Azure Monitor and Kubernetes metrics
• Support AKS lifecycle management including upgrades and production stability
• Deploy and operate containerized .NET applications and SQL Server connectivity
