Job summary

Altais is seeking a Senior Azure Architect to lead Azure-based architectures, hybrid identity, and Windows infrastructure. You will define vision, standards, and roadmaps while guiding engineers toward automation and secure design.

You will mentor engineers, integrate Entra ID and Okta, use Terraform and Terragrunt, and partner with security and DevOps to ensure architectural alignment. The role is remote with competitive pay ($129,000–$154,800) and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• AWS & Azure experience at a principal or architect level; Associate or Expert level certifications in either, but Azure preferred
• 4+ years deep experience architecting solutions in Azure.
• Hybrid Windows Identity expertise, including: Entra ID, Entra Connect / AAD Connect, Multi-Domain or multi-forest Active Directory
• 5+ years architecting and supporting Windows Server and AD infrastructure, including: Group Policy architecture, AD Sites & Services, Domain trust design
• 5+ years PowerShell experience with ability to build: Advanced AD automation, Reusable modules, Deployment workflows
• Experience packaging and deploying Windows applications at scale(enterprise deployment toolsets, scripting, MSI/EXE automation, etc.).
• Hands-on experience integrating and supporting SAML and OIDC across: Entra ID, Okta

Responsibilities

• Define vision, standards, and technical roadmaps for Azure and Windows infrastructure.
• Lead design and implementation of Azure-based architectures with focus on cost, security, and operational excellence.
• Architect and oversee Hybrid Windows Identity environments (Entra ID, Entra Connect, AAD Connect).
• Provide top-level expertise for Windows Server environments (Group Policy, domain services).
• Champion Infrastructure as Code using Terraform; promote Terragrunt usage.
• Author advanced PowerShell modules and automation scripts for complex enterprises.
• Lead patterns for packaging, deployment, and automation across the enterprise.
• Provide guidance on SAML and OIDC integrations (Entra ID, Okta).
• Mentor engineers, perform design reviews, and drive automation and reliability.
