Position Overview

Insight Global is seeking a seasoned Azure Solutions Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned with strategic business goals. This role emphasizes data governance, security, and productivity architecture using Microsoft Purview, Copilot, Entra ID, Intune, and Defender, rather than infrastructure build‑out. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders—translating complex business requirements into secure, scalable Azure architectures that align with both the Azure Well‑Architected Framework and the Cloud Adoption Framework. The ideal candidate brings advanced knowledge of IT operations, including networking, virtualization, identity and access management, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platforms, and governance.

Focus

• Projects & Production Support: Architecting and supporting enterprise‑grade Azure solutions
• Governance & Security: Administering data loss prevention, compliance, and secure integrations
• Cross‑Team Collaboration: Partnering with developers, security engineers, and business stakeholders
• Heavy emphasis on Microsoft Purview, Intune, Defender, Entra ID, and Copilot

Day to Day

• Architect and design end‑to‑end Azure solutions with a focus on governance, security, and automation.
• Translate business needs into secure, scalable, cost‑effective cloud architectures.
• Implement and manage Microsoft Purview for data governance and classification.
• Implement and manage Microsoft Copilot for workflow automation and productivity enhancement.
• Implement and manage Microsoft Entra ID for identity and access management.
• Advise stakeholders on B2B integration strategies, including private endpoints and secure data flows.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Python.
• Conduct architecture reviews, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
• Maintain technical documentation and lead knowledge transfer sessions.
• Ensure all solutions align with the Azure Well‑Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework.

Must Haves

• 7+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in cloud architecture.
• Designing and implementing enterprise cloud solutions.
• Administering data loss prevention and compliance policies.
• Architecting solutions using Purview, Copilot, Entra ID, and Intune and/or Defender.
• Strong understanding of B2B integration, private endpoints, and secure agent usage.
• Deep knowledge of cloud architecture principles, including hybrid and on‑premises integration.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Python.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Pluses

• Previous Microsoft Defender for threat protection and compliance.
• Previous Microsoft Intune for endpoint and device management.
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Experience with scripting languages like Bicep, ARM templates.
