Job summary

Matlen Silver seeks a Senior Azure Cloud Architect to lead the modernization of a secure payments platform. This senior role combines 60% architecture/consulting with 40% hands-on engineering, owning end-to-end Azure solutions and technical direction.

The candidate will design enterprise-grade Azure environments, translate business needs into technical plans, and communicate effectively with engineers, clients, and leadership. Remote, 12-month contract-to-hire engagement.

Qualifications

5–8+ years of architecture-level work in complex enterprise environments.
At least 5 years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience with broad Azure platform expertise.
Experience designing and building an end-to-end Azure environment with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and modernization of a complex enterprise platform.
Design scalable, secure, highly available Azure solutions.
Develop technology strategy and drive architecture roadmap deployment.
Own the overall solution across application, infra, security, networking, deployment.
Work with teams to estimate work and set delivery timelines.
Translate business goals into technical designs and implementation plans.
Participate in development, security, deployment, and integration activities.
Provide technical direction to architects, engineers, and developers.
Present complex solutions to executives and technical audiences.
Configure Azure environments with limited guidance.
Support modernization and migration from legacy platforms to Azure.
