Job summary

Vertex seeks a Senior Azure DevSecOps Engineer to design, secure, and optimize cloud platforms powering enterprise software and AI-driven solutions on Azure. You will drive DevSecOps adoption, automation, and secure pipelines across VaiDA and related initiatives, partnering with security and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes Terraform/Bicep/ARM-based IaC, identity and secrets management, and platform reliability, with hybrid/on-site flexibility and a strong security mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years supporting production workloads in Microsoft Azure.
• Experience building and operating enterprise-scale CI/CD platforms and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Embed security controls throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates.
• Collaborate with security teams on identity, secrets, vulnerability, and network security.
• Support Azure Foundry, Azure AI, and related services.
• Establish platform engineering standards and reusable automation.
• Implement observability, monitoring, and incident management.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for cloud infra.
• Collaborate to modernize deployment architectures and promote cloud-native practices.
• Evaluate emerging Azure and security tech to reduce risk.
• Mentor engineers on DevSecOps and cloud security.
