Job summary

Avtex, now part of TTEC Digital, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver end-to-end data platforms on the Azure Data & AI stack for our clients. You will own architecture, build production pipelines with PySpark, Python, and SQL, and mentor other engineers while engaging with client stakeholders.

You will work on lakehouse patterns (Bronze/Silver/Gold) with OneLake/Delta Lake, implement MCP integrations, and establish data governance using Purview or Unity Catalog.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, engineering, math, statistics or related field.
• 5-8 years of data engineering with Azure production pipelines.
• Expert Python, SQL, and PySpark for distributed data pipelines at scale.
• Experience designing APIs and MCP integrations.
• Experience with orchestration and CI/CD (Fabric pipelines, Azure Data Factory, Databricks Workflows, Azure DevOps).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and build of end-to-end data platforms on Azure, using Data Factory, Fabric, and Databricks with PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Architect Medallion (Bronze, Silver, Gold) lakehouse patterns with OneLake/Delta Lake.
• Own data modeling for client engagements and ensure analytics readiness across domains.
• Design batch and streaming ingestion patterns and event-driven architectures.
• Mentor engineers and engage with client stakeholders on architecture decisions.
• Design APIs and MCP-based integrations for data activation and ecosystem integration.
• Collaborate with AI/Architecture teams to expose data to Data Agents and Generative AI apps.
• Implement data governance with Purview/Unity Catalog and manage access control, metadata, and lineage.
• Support production operations and incident response for critical pipelines and activation services.
