Job summary

WINTrio LLC is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain Azure-based data platforms enabling advanced analytics, ML, fraud detection, and mission-critical decision making.

The role focuses on architecting scalable Azure data solutions, developing high-performance ELT/ETL pipelines, and collaborating with Data Scientists to support AI initiatives. Strong Azure, SQL, Python, and modern data architecture experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on SQL database development and advanced SQL/T-SQL.
• 5+ years designing/maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines in cloud analytics environments.
• 3+ years with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Machine Learning.
• 3+ years of Python development with Pandas; PySpark/Polars preferred.
• Experience building cloud-native data architectures with ADLS, Synapse, ML.
• Experience with source control, Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable cloud data architectures supporting analytics and ML.
• Develop, optimize and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Design and support Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure ML and ADLS environments.
• Develop reusable Python code for data engineering, automation and processing.
• Build and optimize SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases with advanced SQL/T-SQL.
• Implement data models, dictionaries, ER diagrams, and metadata documentation.
• Implement source control, CI/CD, logging, monitoring and error handling across data assets.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to support ML pipelines and analytics environments.
• Develop SOPs for development, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise data pipelines.
• Explore AI tools and LLM integration to improve engineering productivity.
