Job summary

Axiom Path is seeking a senior Azure Data Engineer to lead secure, scalable data solutions in a hybrid environment. You will own data pipelines, governance, and integration across security, risk, and data operations teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in data engineering, hands-on Azure expertise, and a track record of delivering enterprise data lakehouse architectures in regulated financial services contexts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or related enterprise data roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure data solutions in complex production environments.
• Proven expertise with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.
• Experience designing ingestion pipelines, data lakes, and cloud-based data transformation workflows.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance considerations in regulated environments.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, including engineering teams, business data owners, and security organizations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on technical dependencies, and communicate progress in agile sprint environments.
• Azure certifications are valued.
• Experience supporting cybersecurity, insider risk, DSPM, DLP, or security analytics programs is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and build secure, scalable Azure-based data pipelines supporting a centralized cybersecurity data lakehouse.
• Develop ingestion frameworks for data tied to insider risk programs, including DSPM and DLP.
• Partner with data owners, insider risk stakeholders, and security engineering teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
• Help standardize and govern data flows that improve visibility, access, and operational control across the security ecosystem.
• Serve as a technical liaison across multiple teams, driving alignment on dependencies, timelines, and delivery expectations.
• Provide routine updates to sprint plans and ensure work progresses in line with internal agile and SDLC processes.
