Job summary

Axiom Path is seeking a remote, contract-focused specialist to support Azure Databricks and data platform operations. You will provision resources, automate pipelines, and guide onboarding of Data Landing Zones within a global financial services context.

You'll work with Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions and other tooling to streamline cloud provisioning and governance. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years hands-on Databricks experience.
• 1–3 years Azure Data Factory experience.
• Experience in application/prod/cloud operations support.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure; familiarity with AWS or GCP.
• Experience with Git-based source control (GitHub/GitLab/Azure Repos).
• Ability to deploy pipelines, scripts and IaC workflows.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate requirements into actions.
• Clear written and verbal communication; documentation focus.
• Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, RBAC or Delta Sharing preferred.
• IaC tools like Terraform, Bicep or AWS CDK preferred.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions preferred.
• Scripting: Python, PowerShell, or Bash preferred.

• Gather requirements and guide onboarding of new Data Landing Zones.
• Execute pipelines, scripts, and IaC to provision Azure/Databricks resources.

• Troubleshoot access, authentication, deployment, and platform config issues.
• Create documentation on support procedures and onboarding workflows.

How You Will Make An Impact:

• Provide first-level technical support to application teams through ServiceNow, resolving common Azure and Databricks platform requests.
  
• Gather technical requirements and guide application teams through the onboarding of new Data Landing Zones.
  
• Execute pipelines, scripts, and Infrastructure as Code deployments to provision or modify Azure and Databricks resources.
  
• Support the deployment of frequently requested cloud services using standardized, repeatable processes.
  
• Automate recurring support activities to improve response times, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  
• Troubleshoot access, permissions, authentication, deployment, and platform configuration issues.
  
• Create and maintain clear documentation covering support procedures, workflows, and onboarding processes.
  
• Partner with application developers, cloud engineers, and platform stakeholders to resolve requests and improve the user experience.
  

Requirements

Do you bring proven success in Azure Databricks platform support?

• 1 3 years of hands-on experience supporting or administering Databricks environments.
  
• 1 3 years of experience working with Azure Data Factory.
  
• Previous experience in application support, production support, cloud operations, or technical platform support.
  
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
  
• Experience using Git-based source-control platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Azure Repos.
  
• Ability to execute and troubleshoot deployment pipelines, scripts, and cloud provisioning workflows.
  
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather requirements and translate them into technical actions.
  
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, particularly when supporting application teams and documenting procedures.
  
• Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, role-based access control, authentication methods, or Delta Sharing is strongly preferred.
  
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or AWS CDK is preferred.
  
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions is preferred.
