Job summary

Fisher Investments seeks a Sr. Platform Engineer to design and manage the Azure data and analytics platform, guiding architectural standards and providing technical leadership for data warehouse workloads.

The role supports enterprise reporting teams and data delivery teams, with hands-on ownership from implementation through ongoing operations. You will align solutions with Fisher's priorities, plan capacity, and ensure scalable, secure data environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience developing software and data solutions for an enterprise environment with focus on data and cloud applications
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage and Power BI
• Knowledge of infrastructure and cloud administration and automation (Terraform)
• Knowledge of DevOps in application development (GitHub Actions, Powershell)
• Experience with SQL, Azure, C#, Python in cloud applications
• Experience with Machine Learning, MLOps
• Experience with investment management systems and processes
• Experience with Agile methodologies in cloud/data/BI environments
• BS or equivalent in CS or related field or equivalent technical background

Responsibilities

• Own data warehouse and analytics platform on Azure, from implementation to enhancements and ongoing operations
• Design, develop and coordinate cloud data and application solutions across cross-functional groups
• Provide technical direction to database and application developers
• Develop cloud security/access controls, data/BI standards and best practices
• Monitor logs, perform capacity planning and cost optimization
• Provide after-hours system and application support
• Prepare status reports and project plans for management
