Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to join the Plex Cloud Operations team. You will design, implement, and operate networking across private datacenters and Azure, leveraging automation and infrastructure as code to scale and secure solutions.

Responsibilities include managing NGFW rules, BGP/EVPN architectures, monitoring and on-call rotations. Candidates should have 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure and IaC tooling experience. Role requires travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 5+ years enterprise infrastructure experience.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Experience working with Git-based workflows (GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Experience with BGP and MP-BGP (EVPN) in production datacenter environments.
• Foundational understanding of prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate networking infrastructure across private datacenters and public cloud (Azure).
• Provide network and remote connectivity hardware/software support.
• Design, manage, and troubleshoot ISP circuits, multi-homed BGP, DCI, and SD-WAN.
• Perform root cause investigations and contribute to documentation.
• Maintain NGFW rule base for least-privilege access across zones.
• Deploy Azure and private cloud networks using IaC and Git-ops tooling.
• Collaborate with Security teams on data security and access privileges.
• Develop and maintain network and system monitoring solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations and monthly maintenance windows.
