Job summary

SkyBridge Resources is seeking a Senior Azure Engineer to design, implement, secure, automate, and support enterprise cloud environments built on Microsoft Azure.

This role provides technical leadership across cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, security, governance, automation, and platform services while partnering with application, security, networking, and business teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale Azure environments and hybrid on-premises/cloud infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Azure administration and architecture.
• Knowledge of Entra ID, Azure Networking, AKS, Monitor/Log Analytics, Backup/DR, Policy/Governance, Terraform/Bicep, DevOps/CI‑CD, PowerShell, and security/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure landing zones and enterprise cloud architectures.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, optimize, and improve Azure platform performance, availability, and reliability.
• Lead cloud infrastructure incident response and root cause analysis.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Apply Zero Trust and Azure security best practices, including Entra ID, RBAC, Privileged Access, Azure Policy, Conditional Access, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM Templates, with automation through PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Design and support hybrid cloud networking (hub-and-spoke, ExpressRoute, VPN, Private Endpoints, Azure Firewall, DNS, Load Balancers).
• Establish cloud governance standards across Management Groups, subscription strategy, tagging, resource governance, and cost management.
• Drive cloud cost optimization and provide Azure consumption and cost reporting.
• Ensure cloud environments meet HIPAA, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as an Azure SME, mentor engineers, contribute to cloud strategy, architecture reviews, standards, docs, and roadmaps.
