Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer (Azure) to design, deploy, secure, and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure for federal customers.

The role emphasizes scalable cloud solutions, infrastructure as code, automation, and support for hybrid-cloud architectures while ensuring compliance with FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD frameworks. This remote, full-time role requires US citizenship and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering/DevOps or related fields.
• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering.
• 3+ years with Infrastructure as Code.
• 3+ years building CI/CD pipelines.
• 4+ years of PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible.
• Experience with hybrid-cloud and on-premises integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
• Manage Azure Virtual Machines, VNets, Azure SQL Database, and storage.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using IaC tools.
• Develop automation with PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitLab, and Jenkins.
• Implement Azure security best practices including RBAC and encryption.
• Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD requirements.
