Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer (Azure) to design, deploy, secure, and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure for federal customers. The role emphasizes infrastructure as code, DevOps, and secure architectures in Azure.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Azure experience, hands-on IaC, and the ability to work in a federal environment with a Secret clearance. This is a full-time, remote opportunity with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
• 3+ years hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
• Manage Azure VNets, Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage, Shared Disks, and Azure Active Directory.
• Automate provisioning with Terraform, ARM Templates, and Ansible.
• Develop automation with PowerShell, Python, and Bash; create reusable templates.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, and Jenkins.
• Implement Azure security best practices including RBAC and Defender for Cloud.
• Ensure FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD compliance; monitor security posture.
• Monitor environments with Azure Monitor and Application Insights; troubleshoot performance.
