Job summary

Eliassen Group seeks a Sr. Cloud Engineer (Azure) to design, deploy, secure, and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure for federal customers. You will champion IaC, automation, and DevOps practices across Azure services, while ensuring FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD compliance.

The role requires active US Secret clearance, and offers full-time employment with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. Remote work is supported, with W2 compensation.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• 5+ years in Cloud Eng/DevOps/Systems Administration.
• 3+ years hands-on Azure engineering experience.
• 3+ years with Terraform and IaC.
• 3+ years building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• 4+ years PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infra and services.
• Manage Azure VMs, VNets, SQL DB, Blob, Disks, and AD.
• Support cloud modernization and optimization efforts.
• Automate provisioning with Terraform, ARM, and Ansible.
• Develop automation with PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
• Create reusable templates and deployment frameworks.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins.
• Support automated deployments, testing, and release mgmt.
• Implement Azure security practices (RBAC, Defender, DDoS, encryption).
• Ensure FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD compliance.
• Support vulnerability remediation and monitoring.
• Monitor with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, App Insights.
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance.
• Manage Azure networking (VNets, DNS, VPN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, App Gateway).
• Support hybrid-cloud integrations using Azure Migrate/Arc/Site Recovery.
• Implement backup and DR strategies with Azure Backup.
