Eliassen Group is recruiting a Sr. Cloud Engineer (Azure) for a remote, permanent role supporting federal customers. The position emphasizes designing, deploying, securing, and optimizing Azure-based infrastructure with IaC, DevOps, and security compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Systems Administration, or related fields.
• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering experience.
• 3+ years with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• 3+ years building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• 4+ years of PowerShell scripting.
• Experience supporting hybrid-cloud and on-premises integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
• Manage Azure Virtual Machines, VNets, Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage, and AD.
• Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitLab, and Jenkins.
• Implement Azure security best practices including RBAC and Defender for Cloud.
• Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD security requirements.
• Monitor environments with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Configure and manage Azure networking including ExpressRoute and Load Balancer.
• Support hybrid-cloud integrations using Azure Migrate and Azure Arc.
