Job summary

Revolutional is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to support a federal government customer in Washington, DC. This on-site role focuses on design, migration, and operations for mission-critical workloads in Azure Government cloud environments.

The successful candidate will serve as the technical authority, ensuring FedRAMP/NIST RMF compliance and secure, scalable cloud architecture. Active TS with SCI eligibility and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; US citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive hands-on Azure cloud design, deployment, and management, incl. Azure Government.
• Experience with GCC High/Azure Government Secret/DoD-aligned environments and compliance boundaries.
• Knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, RMF, and DoD IL categorization.
• Experience with Azure networking (VNets, ExpressRoute), compute, storage, and Entra ID.
• Experience supporting or contributing to Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages in a federal environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for Azure Government cloud architecture across program infrastructure.
• Lead/migrate on-premises and legacy systems to Azure Government (GCC High / Azure Gov Secret).
• Design and implement secure, scalable, highly available Azure infrastructure aligned with federal requirements.
• Support ATO activities with ISSOs/ISSMs and Authorizing Official's team.
• Architect identity and access management solutions using Microsoft Entra ID and federation.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform) for deployments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure environments for performance, cost, and security.
• Provide guidance and mentorship on Azure best practices and compliance.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders to translate mission requirements into cloud solutions.
• Produce architecture diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs.
