Job summary

IFG Companies is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement and maintain Azure-based infrastructure with a focus on security, governance and cost optimization. The role requires extensive Terraform and Azure DevOps experience and strong scripting skills.

The position is hybrid, offering collaboration with cross-functional teams and opportunities to influence enterprise cloud strategy while maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field.
• 10+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience, with 7+ years focused on Microsoft Azure.
• Azure certifications preferred (AZ-104, AZ-500, AZ-305).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, deploy and manage scalable, secure Azure infrastructure aligned with enterprise standards.
• Develop and enforce cloud security architecture, controls across Azure per CIS/NIST CSF.
• Drive IaC, governance and standardization of deployments using Terraform and Azure DevOps.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Configure development, test and production environments and automate deployments.
• Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and AKS.
• Develop internal tools and dashboards for monitoring, resource optimization and performance tuning.
• Stay current with Azure innovations and drive improvements to architecture and practices.
• Optimize cloud cost and performance with proactive monitoring and capacity planning.
• Represent Azure infrastructure in strategic planning sessions and tech steering committees.
• Administer and configure core Azure services using Terraform as the IaC tool.
• Maintain documentation related to system configuration and procedures.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
