Job summary

Acariin Inc is seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure cloud infrastructure solutions in highly regulated environments. You will serve as the technical lead for complex Azure migrations and architecture projects while ensuring compliance with government security standards.

Responsibilities include end-to-end architecture design, migration planning using Azure Site Recovery, and building Entra-based identity governance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
10+ years of related experience with at least 5+ years in database and data management
5+ years of experience in Azure IL5/IL6 environments
CompTIA Security+ certification required to satisfy DoD 8570.01M requirements for IAT Level II
Must be eligible for security clearance
Extensive experience in design and development of network solutions in Azure IL5 and IL6 environments
Proficiency with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Entra Monitor
Deep knowledge of Azure Network Design and Entra architecture establishment
Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and secure pipeline development in controlled cloud environments
Advanced proficiency with Ansible or PowerShell scripting
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates)
Strong presentation and communication skills for stakeholder engagement
Additional Azure certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate)
Experience with government compliance frameworks and security standards
Knowledge of containerization technologies and Kubernetes
Experience with monitoring and logging solutions in Azure
Previous experience in IT consulting or government contracting

Responsibilities

Lead the design of end-to-end Azure architecture, producing detailed architect diagrams utilizing VISIO and comprehensive technical documentation
Conduct technical presentations, architectural discussions, and solution deep dives with government customers and stakeholders
Lead migration planning and execution using Azure Site Recovery, overseeing dependency mapping, failover testing, and cutover operations
Design and implement Microsoft Entra architecture, including identity governance, conditional access, role management, and cross-tenant integrations
Manage and optimize Azure networking components including virtual networks, subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN/ExpressRoute, load balancers, and routing topologies
Build and manage Azure infrastructure using DevOps practices and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Actions
Serve as the primary point of contact for all Azure networking issues, leading problem-solving efforts and guiding architecture decisions
Ensure secure and reliable connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments while maintaining optimal performance, resiliency, and availability
Lead security hardening and protection of infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments while supporting system and workload migrations
Mentor and collaborate with System Administrators on account administration, VM configuration, monitoring implementation, and operational support
Oversee all system changes and ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, hardening guidelines, and relevant organizational controls
