Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer in Mechanicsville, VA (Hybrid) to lead the implementation, configuration, governance, and ongoing management of an enterprise Azure cloud environment.

The role requires deep Azure expertise, hands-on design and migration experience, and technical leadership across IT teams. You will collaborate with architecture, security, development, and governance groups to deliver resilient cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Strong experience designing and managing enterprise Azure infrastructure.
• Expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience implementing Azure networking, security, governance, and identity solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Azure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Experience planning and executing enterprise cloud migrations.
• Proficiency with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Workbooks, and Alerts.
• Experience supporting production cloud environments.
• Experience using Tenable or similar vulnerability management tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and govern Azure infrastructure and cloud resources.
• Manage Azure networking, security policies, and enterprise cloud architecture.
• Build and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments.
• Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premises infrastructure to Azure.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Manage enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Workbooks, Alerts, and related observability tools.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Partner with architecture, security, development, and governance teams.
• Perform vulnerability remediation using security tools such as Tenable.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Mentor and cross-train engineering teams while providing technical leadership.
• Present technical recommendations, risks, and cloud strategies to management and executive leadership.
