Qualifications

• AWS Certified Developer – Associate or higher required.
• 8+ years of software development experience in enterprise environments.
• 2+ years in technical leadership roles.
• Strong hands-on Java and Spring/Spring Boot development; Java 21 or newer preferred.
• Experience with Angular/TypeScript; Angular 17+ preferred.
• Experience designing REST APIs and microservices.
• 4+ years AWS experience designing, deploying, operating production workloads.
• Solid AWS architecture knowledge: ECS/ECR, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Route 53, Secrets Management.
• Experience with Docker, Terraform/OpenTofu, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL/Oracle and Java persistence (Hibernate/JPA, MyBatis).
• Experience with automated testing, code quality, security scanning, and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a distributed Agile development team while remaining hands-on with architecture and reviews.
• Serve as technical point of contact between development, leadership, and customer.
• Translate requirements into technical specs, architecture, and implementation plans.
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise apps using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, REST, and relational DBs.
• Provide technical leadership for AWS-based applications (architecture, containers, security, observability).
• Build, deploy, and troubleshoot Docker containers with ECS and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop cloud infrastructure using Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Maintain relational data solutions using PostgreSQL and/or Oracle with Hibernate/JPA or MyBatis.
• Apply modern patterns: microservices, caching, testing, and secure dev practices.
• Support observability with OpenTelemetry, AWS X-Ray, Prometheus, CloudWatch.
• Promote engineering best practices and opportunities for performance improvements.
• Support workload planning, mentoring, and professional development.
