Job summary

Visual Soft, Inc is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead AWS-based modernization for a federal defense client. The role centers on secure, high-availability cloud design in multi-region GovCloud environments and requires Top Secret clearance.

You will translate mission requirements into scalable cloud solutions, partnering with prime contractors and agency stakeholders to ensure DoD-aligned architecture and authoritative guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a related STEM field.
• 12+ years across IT infrastructure, systems engineering, software delivery and enterprise architecture.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility preferred.
• 5+ years architecting/migrating production workloads in AWS (GovCloud, SC2S, or C2S).
• DoD DoD/IC environment experience and strong security/compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and oversee end-to-end classified defense cloud architectures.
• Migrate legacy on-prem applications to containerized, microservices, and serverless AWS models.
• Develop and enforce SSPs and architecture designs compliant with DoD IL5/IL6, NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP High.
• Lead IaC deployments using Terraform, CloudFormation across air-gapped environments.
• Govern cloud usage, cost optimization, and cross-account networking.
• Engage with Prime and government stakeholders as technical advisor in TIMs and reviews.
