Job summary

System One, Knoxville, TN, is seeking a Senior AWS Python Developer on a contract-to-hire basis to design, build, and maintain Python-based applications supporting Financial Crimes. You will leverage AWS services including Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EC2, ECS/EKS, and Redshift, and work with large data sets and SQL queries.

The role requires 5+ years of Python development and strong AWS experience.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
Strong experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EC2, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch).
Strong SQL skills with large datasets.
Experience with data engineering or data-intensive applications.
Hands-on with Redshift and container technologies.
Security practices with IAM and Secrets Manager.
Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain Python-based applications for Financial Crimes.
Build and support solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EC2, ECS/EKS, and Redshift.
Develop and optimize SQL queries and data processing workflows.
Work with structured and large-scale datasets to support application and analytical requirements.
Implement monitoring and operational support using AWS CloudWatch and related services.
Apply AWS IAM, Secrets Manager, and security best practices when working with cloud applications and data.
Participate in CI/CD, deployment, troubleshooting, and other DevOps activities.
Collaborate with engineering, data, and business teams in a financial services environment.
