Job summary

SG2 Recruiting, partnered with Q2IMPACT, seeks a Front-End Solutions Architect (AWS) for a DoD-focused program. This is a new role with anticipated Fall 2026 contract award and a hybrid work arrangement in Arlington, VA.

You will establish enterprise-wide front-end standards using AWS Amplify and modern JavaScript frameworks, lead up to 4 engineers, and ensure secure, accessible, and high-performing web applications within a DevSecOps environment.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance and US work eligibility.
• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise web apps using modern JS frameworks (React/Angular/Vue), TS, HTML5, CSS3, and AWS front-end tech (Amplify).
• At least 1 year of experience architecting cloud-native front-end apps on AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, S3, CloudFront, Amplify).
• Demonstrated leadership/mentorship as a technical lead for software engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Eng/Info Systems/HCI or related field.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency with front-end testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright) and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with DoD security, DevSecOps, and Section 508 accessibility.

Responsibilities

• Bridge user-centered design with cloud architecture.
• Establish enterprise front-end standards using AWS tooling and modern JS frameworks.
• Lead and mentor up to 4 software engineers, conduct reviews, and guide development practices.
• Ensure secure, Section 508-compliant web applications within a DoD DevSecOps environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver mission-critical digital experiences across the program lifecycle.
• Present architectural recommendations to program leadership and DoD stakeholders.
