Genworth Financial, Inc. in Richmond/Lynchburg, VA, is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer for AWS Foundations. Hybrid schedule with in-office days Tue–Thu, core hours 9am–5pm EST. You will design and operate foundational AWS services, landing zones, and governance to enable secure, scalable app delivery.

You bring 5–8+ years in cloud/platform engineering, with strong AWS, networking, Terraform, and IAM experience, and you will collaborate across Architecture, Security, and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of cloud or platform engineering experience.
• Strong AWS platform operations and networking skills.
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to design and implement IAM and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support foundational AWS platform services.
• Build and maintain AWS landing zones, account structures, and governance guardrails.
• Engineer AWS networking, identity, security, observability, and shared platform services.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and automation pipelines.
