Job summary

Astyra Corporation is seeking a Senior AWS Developer for an onsite role in Raleigh, NC. The candidate will design, implement, and manage AWS-based data lake solutions, modernize legacy apps, and lead cloud-native development with emphasis on data ingestion, processing, and governance.

Required 10–15 years of software development experience, strong AWS services expertise (S3, EC2, Lambda, RDS, Glue, Athena, etc.), and hands-on Python.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of software development experience.
• Extensive AWS data lake design and development experience.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications to the cloud.
• Hands-on Python scripting and OO languages preferred.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and IaC.

Senior AWS Developer

• *This is an onsite position.
• *Local to the Raleigh, NC area only, please.
• *We are not considering Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements for this position.

Description

• Our client is looking to hire a senior AWS developer with 10-15 years of software development experience.
• This role involves close collaboration with the data modernization teams to design, implement and manage AWS solutions.
• Extensive experience in developing/building AWS Data Lake formation, contributing extensively to design development and writing code.
• Experience in modernizing legacy applications which should include refactoring/migrating in-house legacy applications to the cloud environment.
• Proficient in utilizing AWS services and related components towards building enterprise level Data Lakes.
• Must have experience in Data Ingestion Storage Data Processing Transformation and working with AWS Machine Language using appropriate AWS services.
• Experience in customizing AWS ETL logic using Python code.
• Knowledgeable and experience in security and data governance covering areas such as fine-grained permissions managing user and service permissions data encryption auditing and compliance.
• Experience in software development with hands‑on skills in Python scripting and any prior experience in Object oriented languages is a plus.
• Experience working with any transactional or RDMS databases
• Experience with DevOps DevSecOps Iac automation building CI/CD pipelines monitoring and logging.
• Knowledge / experience using any ETL tools experience with data analytics using PowerBI or AWS QuickSight etc. is plus.
• Must have experience/familiar with Agile/Scrum Framework environments.
