Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Application Architect to lead the architecture, design, and modernization of enterprise applications running on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with cloud architecture, application modernization, distributed systems, and AWS services.

This role requires someone who can work closely with engineering teams, technical leadership, and business stakeholders to design scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise-scale applications and cloud solutions on AWS.


• Lead application modernization, cloud migration, and transformation initiatives.


• Develop scalable, highly available, secure, and resilient AWS architectures.


• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering teams.


• Design microservices, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud‑native applications.


• Work with AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, and CloudWatch.


• Establish best practices for security, performance, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.


• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and cloud operations.


• Evaluate existing applications and recommend modernization and migration strategies.


• Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and solution designs.


• Troubleshoot complex application and cloud architecture issues.


• Mentor senior developers and architects and provide technical direction.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of software/application architecture and engineering experience; candidates with 20–25+ years of experience are welcome.


• Strong experience designing and implementing AWS cloud architectures.


• Deep understanding of application architecture, distributed systems, microservices, and APIs.


• Strong experience with AWS cloud‑native services and architecture patterns.


• Experience with application modernization and cloud migration.


• Strong understanding of security, networking, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.


• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.


• Strong programming/software engineering background in one or more languages such as Java, Python, .NET, or Node.js.


• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.


• Experience with serverless architecture, event-driven architecture, containers, and Kubernetes.


• Knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.


• Experience working with enterprise‑scale applications and large transformation programs.
