Job summary

The Eliassen Group is seeking an Application Cloud Engineer to maintain and enhance AWS-based applications and infrastructure. This remote, contract role collaborates with development, operations, and security teams to ensure scalability, performance, and security across 24/7 production systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years with BS/BA, or 6 years with MS/MA, or 12+ with HS Diploma/equivalent.
• 3 years IT experience and hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong Python, Bash, YAML/JSON, Node.js, and Lambda skills.
• Experience with CI/CD and Kubernetes.
• US citizenship or eligible for Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform.
• Manage EKS clusters and node groups.
• Configure VPC, security groups, and ALB/NLB ingress.
• Administer Kubernetes objects and RBAC.
• Monitor production with CloudWatch and observability tools.
• Containerize and deploy apps with ECS and Lambda.
