Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an Application Cloud Engineer to maintain and enhance AWS‑based applications and infrastructure. The role collaborates with development, operations, and security teams to ensure scalability, performance, and security.

The engineer participates in on‑call rotations to support 24/7 production systems and incident response. This is a remote, contract position with eligibility for a W2 benefits package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT experience or 6+ years with higher degree.
• AWS cloud deployment experience and EKS/Kubernetes knowledge.
• Proficiency with Python, Bash, YAML/JSON, Node.js and Lambda.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage AWS infra using Terraform.
• Manage Amazon EKS clusters and node groups.
• Configure VPC, security groups, ALB/NLB ingress for pods.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Containerize apps and deploy with ECS and Lambda.
• Ensure deployments across dev/stage/prod are consistent.
