Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in the AWM line of business seeks a Software Engineer III to design, develop, and deploy large-scale, trusted technology products on the AWS Cloud. You will work on secure, scalable solutions across multiple areas, driving end-to-end development and operational excellence.

The role emphasizes serverless patterns, observability, and production-grade code, with collaboration across teams to meet business objectives and engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• 5+ years in large-scale, event-driven AWS architectures.
• Serverless design with Lambda and observability.
• Experience with CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Proficiency in programming languages and SQL.
• Hands-on RDS/PostgreSQL tuning and high availability.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver large-scale, secure AWS-based solutions.
• Develop serverless patterns using SQS/SNS and DLQs.
• Tune and optimize RDS/PostgreSQL performance and availability.
• Operate OpenSearch indexing and cost/performance tuning.
• Ensure observability through metrics, logs, and traces.
• Collaborate on architecture and design artifacts for complex apps.
• Gathers data insights to improve software quality and system design.
• Drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contribute to communities of practice and new Technologies.
