Job summary

Qualysoft GmbH is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design and implement scalable AWS architectures and modern cloud-native platforms. The role focuses on EKS/Kubernetes, Terraform-based automation, and secure, cost-efficient cloud design.

You will lead architectural workshops, drive cloud strategy, and collaborate with enterprise customers to deliver resilient, compliant solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise AWS environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Advanced Terraform experience, including reusable modules, remote state, enterprise landing zones, and multi-account architectures.
• Strong AWS networking knowledge, including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, and hybrid connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers, working with executives, architects, and engineering teams.
• Lead discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and cloud strategy engagements.
• Design secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-optimized AWS architectures per AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Architect and operate production-grade EKS and Kubernetes platforms, including networking, security, and observability.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives involving containers, serverless services, and multi-cloud strategies.
• Define and implement IAM, security, encryption, governance, and FinOps best practices.
