Job summary

The Quality Group (TQG) is seeking a Cloud Engineer (gn) - AWS to join our Germany-based team. You will design, automate, and evolve scalable cloud platforms using AWS, IaC with Terraform, and modern automation scripts.

The role emphasizes secure, self-service, and reliable cloud workloads for our developers. You will implement CI/CD pipelines, enable self-service provisioning, and continuously improve observability, monitoring, and security across our platform.

Qualifications

• Experience building, operating, and automating cloud infrastructures—ideally AWS.
• Understanding modern cloud architectures and applying them to evolve platform solutions.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, especially Terraform, for robust, repeatable setups.
• Automation and scripting experience (Python, Go, Bash).
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and deployment automation (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Solid understanding of cloud security concepts (IAM, networking, least privilege).
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability to translate requirements into solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize our cloud platform with a focus on AWS.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code environments and automate workflows.
• Design, operate, and improve CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure.
• Build self-service solutions for development teams to provision cloud resources.
• Enhance monitoring, logging, and observability for reliable operations.
• Identify improvement opportunities and contribute new technologies and approaches.
